In 1991, the Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Tipperary North Riding County Council’s offer in a dispute over three rural road overseers taking on larger areas. The union sought compensation including the senior overseers rate, described as an extra £20 a week. The council offered five additional days of annual leave and increased mileage allocation, and the Court considered the offer reasonable. The recommendation was dated 15 January 1991.
