Labour Court recommends £2,500 for Quinnsworth supervisor after constructive dismissal finding

In 1991, the Labour Court found that a supervisor at Quinnsworth Limited had little alternative but to leave her job, amounting in essence to constructive dismissal. It recommended £2,500 in full and final settlement, rather than reinstatement. The Irish Distributive And Administrative Trade Union had sought reinstatement, saying the worker left after a manager's conduct. Quinnsworth Limited said it had concerns about her performance as a supervisor and denied that the manager had been abusive. The Court's recommendation was signed on 7 January 1991.
