In 1987, the Labour Court recommended that the Post Office Officials' Association accept steps An Post had taken to address roof leaks at Kilmallock Post Office. The recommendation was signed on 16 February 1987. The association said leaks affected three work areas, inconvenienced staff and raised safety concerns because of nearby electrical wiring. An Post accepted that part of the roof needed repair and said it had appointed a contractor to carry out the work.
