In a recommendation signed on 9 February 1987, the Labour Court recommended two 2.50% basic wage increases at Nenagh Textile Mills Limited and two days' compassionate leave on the death of an immediate family member. The Irish Transport and General Workers' Union had brought claims including extra pay for weavers, relief from boiler duties for a maintenance worker, improved toilet facilities and pay parity between storekeeper roles. The Court did not recommend those other claims.
