Labour Court recommends Pretty Polly bonus offer for Killarney workers

The Labour Court recommended that the Irish Transport and General Workers’ Union accept Pretty Polly (Killarney) Limited’s offer on a bonus claim for three despatch workers and one store worker. The recommendation was signed on 22 January 1987. The offer linked a £10.83 increase in the despatch productivity award to a performance target and combining despatch and store duties, with staffing reduced by one. The union had sought a measured-work bonus scheme, while the company said the department’s throughput was too low for such a scheme.
