Labour Court recommends £250 lump sum and phased pay rises at Golden Vale

The Labour Court recommended a pay settlement for managers at Golden Vale Co-Operative Creameries Limited after a claim by the Dairy Executives’ Association. The recommendation was signed on 19 January 1987. It included a £250 lump sum payable in January and consolidated into basic pay from 1 January, a 5% increase for the first six months of 1987 and a further 2.5% from 1 July. The agreement was to end on 31 December 1987. The Court said it had considered the parties’ submissions and the society’s financial position.
