The Labour Court recommended phased increases to the grade 4 and 5 salary scales at Irish Life Assurance plc after a claim by the Association of Scientific Technical and Managerial Staffs. The recommendation was signed on 19 January 1987. The Court found the scales had fallen out of line but said the evidence did not justify the association’s request to place them fifth in the comparison league. It recommended a phased 5% increase at the minimum of both grades, reducing to 3% at the maximum.
