Labour Court recommends 5% pay rise at Allied Pharmaceutical Distributors

In 1987, the Labour Court recommended a 5% wage agreement over 12 months for workers at Allied Pharmaceutical Distributors Limited, starting on 12 May 1986. The recommendation was signed on 8 January 1987. The Irish Transport and General Workers’ Union had sought an 8% increase after amending its original claim, alongside changes to holidays and flexibility payments for part-time staff. The company offered 4%, citing trading difficulties. The Court recommended the 5% agreement.
