WRC rejects three penalisation complaints against Cross Centra Roseberry Hill

The WRC rejected three complaints by Berk Atakan alleging Cross Centra Roseberry Hill – Cross Retail Convenience Group Ltd penalised him after he raised a workplace grievance. Atakan cited management conduct, changed weekend hours and a week’s paid suspension. The WRC found the grievance was not a protected act under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994 and was a personal grievance, not a protected disclosure under the Protected Disclosures Act 2014. All three complaints were not well founded; the officer did not decide whether penalisation occurred under the 2014Act.
