The Workplace Relations Commission awarded David Redican €2,240 after finding his employer failed to provide written employment terms. A separate working-time complaint also succeeded over missing records, resulting in a €1,000 award. The decision was dated 10 April 2026. Redican worked as a waiter for Land To Sea Dingle Ltd Land To Sea from May to August 2025. He said he never received written terms and claimed he was owed Sunday premium and did not get proper breaks. The company disputed parts of his account, but accepted that no written terms had been provided because the parties had not agreed contractual terms. The officer found the written-terms complaint well founded. On the working-time complaint, the officer found the employer had failed to keep records, but said there was not enough evidence to determine specific breaches concerning breaks, Sunday premiums or hours worked. The operative decision repeats the written-terms complaint reference for both awards, while the findings connect the €1,000 award to the working-time complaint.
