The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Mel Farrell Fencing Ltd to pay James Griffith €1,150 after finding it failed to provide his written employment terms within the statutory period. The decision was dated 24 November 2025. The employer said it gave Griffith a written statement in late December 2023 or early January 2024; Griffith denied receiving it. The adjudicator found the company had not provided documentary proof and acknowledged the terms were late. The award represented two weeks’ remuneration.
