WRC finds late wages in partly upheld complaint against Translation.ie

The Workplace Relations Commission partly upheld Ossama Khalifa’s Payment of Wages Act complaint against Forbidden City Ltd t/a Translation.ie, finding wages for September work were paid late. Adjudication Officer Kara Turner’s decision was dated 24 November 2025. Khalifa said €937 remained unpaid and that he was entitled to €25 an hour. The company said it had paid its standard rates and later made further payments to resolve the dispute. The adjudicator did not find that the claimed amount was unpaid or that the higher hourly rate was established. A €937 payment made in June 2025 was treated as a compromise payment, and nil compensation was directed.
