The Workplace Relations Commission awarded €40,000 in compensation to Noureldin Abdelgawwad after finding he was constructively unfairly dismissed by Al Maktoum Foundation CLG. The decision, dated 8 June 2026, also upheld his claim for €1,000 in unpaid wages.
Abdelgawwad said salary delays, pressure to hand over access to student data and changes at the Qur’anic school undermined his role and led him to resign. The foundation did not attend the hearing, which proceeded in its absence. The adjudicator found that trust had broken down, that Abdelgawwad was justified in resigning and that his communications had raised grievances about his treatment.
