The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Eoin Hamilton €352.82 for a shortfall in pay in lieu of notice and directed Md Electrical Installations Ltd to pay €108 in redundancy pay. The decision was dated 19 March 2026. Hamilton said his contract entitled him to one month’s notice pay, while the company accepted there had been a shortfall. The WRC found the notice payment should be calculated as a normal month’s pay. It also found Hamilton’s annual leave complaint was not well founded; his force majeure leave and Safe Pass reimbursement complaints were outside the time limit.
