WRC finds Karl McCluskey’s pension complaint not well founded after he missed hearing

The WRC found Karl McCluskey’s complaint against Usher Insulations Limited Usher Energy Saving Solutions not well founded after he did not attend the hearing. The decision was dated 12 May 2026; the merits were not decided because McCluskey did not attend. He alleged that the employer withheld a CWPS pension and death-in-service scheme from his pay. The employer disputed that he was entitled to the scheme. The adjudication officer said McCluskey had been notified of the hearing and had emailed that he would not attend.
