The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Krzysztof Wegrzynski €33,800 after finding he was unfairly dismissed by Radoslaw Borowski, trading as Classic Painting & Decorating. Adjudication Officer Thomas O'Driscoll’s decision was dated 16 September 2025.
Wegrzynski said he was told there was no more work and received a termination letter without consultation. The WRC found there was no fair procedure and noted the business continued operating, with another worker taken on in his role. It also awarded €2,600 for failure to provide written employment terms and €500 in unpaid holiday pay. His minimum-notice complaint was rejected; four other complaints were withdrawn. Borowski did not attend the hearing, and Wegrzynski’s evidence was uncontested.
