The Workplace Relations Commission has directed Bgs Security Limited to pay Abubakar Abubakar €2,527.48 after finding that €1,994.20 in net wages was unpaid, annual leave entitlement was due and required breaks were not provided. The decision was dated 7 May 2025. The WRC found Abubakar worked seven-hour shifts with only a 15-minute break, rather than the required 30 minutes after more than six hours. It awarded €183.28 for annual leave and €350 compensation for the break breach. His separate Sunday-allowance complaint was withdrawn because it was covered by the wages complaint. The company did not attend the hearing.
