WRC rejects teacher’s pay complaint against St Michaels school

The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Elizabeth Collins’s Payment of Wages complaint against St Michaels School Chapelizod Holy Angels, finding her wages were properly paid under the contract she signed. Adjudication officer Conor Stokes dated the decision 8 May 2025. Collins said she was hired for a post-primary teaching position but paid at primary-teacher rates. The school argued the signed primary-teacher contract governed her pay; the officer held the WRC could not replace it with a theoretical post-primary contract.
