WRC rejects security guard’s unpaid wages complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Vaidas Dvarzeckas’s complaint against Las Security Ltd for unpaid wages not well founded in a decision dated 18 February 2025. Dvarzeckas said he was not paid for 15 April to 17 May after being away from work. Las Security Ltd said he was paid for hours worked and had been rostered at a new location. The adjudication officer found text messages showed repeated offers of work that Dvarzeckas did not take up, and concluded he had not established entitlement to wages for periods when he did not attend offered work.
