The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered UpSkill Limited T/A Olive to pay former employee Matthew Carey €1,775 net after upholding his complaint of unpaid wages. The decision was dated 6 March 2025. Carey said he was owed commission, accrued annual leave and one day’s pay after his employment ended. The company had told the WRC that payments were made in line with his contract, but did not attend the hearing. Adjudication Officer Eileen Campbell found the company’s payment breakdown did not add up and that the €1,775 remained unpaid.
