WRC rejects Angelika Zyra’s redundancy payment claim against Eatstro Limited

The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Angelika Zyra’s claim for a statutory redundancy payment from Eatstro Limited. In its decision dated 22 November 2024, the adjudication officer found that Eatstro offered her full-time work on her previous terms within the statutory counter-notice period. Zyra declined the offer, found another job and resigned. Eatstro said it complied with the law and that she resigned voluntarily. The officer found she was not made redundant and was not entitled to a redundancy payment.
