WRC recommends review of cleaning contractor's workplace policies

The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that A Cleaning Contractor review its performance-management and workplace-communication policies, including when staff are contacted. The recommendation was dated 22 November 2024. The worker said her hours were reduced and she received critical out-of-hours WhatsApp messages before resigning. The officer said the messages were inappropriate but noted that she had not raised her concerns through workplace procedures. The employer said it had not been given the opportunity to address those concerns.
