WRC dismisses Abec Technologies Europe employment information complaint as out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed a complaint by Aleksejus Zakurinovas against Abec Technologies Europe, ruling it was filed outside the statutory time limit. Adjudication Officer Davnet O'Driscoll’s decision was dated 1 September 2026. Zakurinovas alleged that changes to his duties and shift pattern had not been notified in writing, as required by the Terms of Employment (Information) Act. The company argued the complaint was out of time and that the relevant arrangements had been notified. The officer found no adequate reason to extend the filing period, had no jurisdiction to consider the complaint and recorded no award.
