WRC rejects employee’s terms complaint as out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission ruled that it had no jurisdiction over Aleksejus Zakurinovas’s complaint that Abec Technologies Europe Limited Abec (Kells) had not confirmed changes to his duties and shift pattern in writing. The decision was dated 1 September 2026. Zakurinovas also raised concerns about his working conditions and alleged bullying and disciplinary action; the employer disputed those claims. The adjudicator found the terms complaint had been lodged outside the statutory six-month period and that no adequate reason justified an extension. The underlying allegations were not decided.
