A Workplace Relations Commission adjudicator has found both complaints by Freddie Marks against Waterford City and County Council not well founded. The decision was dated 16 January 2025. Marks said his employment terms changed without notice when he took on cemetery gate duties and that he was not paid properly for opening and closing the gates. The Council said he received overtime for weekend gate work and no wages were withheld. The adjudicator found he was paid overtime and rejected both his contract-information and payment-of-wages complaints.
