WRC rejects Dr Yalman Eyinc’s fixed-term work complaints against HSE

The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Dr Yalman Eyinc’s complaint seeking a contract of indefinite duration from HSE, finding his fixed-term contracts did not exceed the four-year threshold. The decision was dated 13 October 2025. Eyinc said he continued in the same hospital role through an agency during a break between contracts. HSE argued the agency period broke continuity and that his fixed-term service did not reach four years. His separate complaint that HSE failed to provide written grounds for renewal was found out of time and not well founded.
