The Workplace Relations Commission rejected both complaints brought by Aer Lingus captain James Brady over the end of his safety and emergency procedures instructor role and the unpaid allowance. The WRC found that the role ended when he began training for promotion to captain, and that the allowance was not owed for work he did not perform. It found no breach of fixed-term work law and no unlawful wage deduction. No award was made.
