The Workplace Relations Commission has dismissed Deirdre Reilly’s health-and-safety penalisation complaint against Vantive Manufacturing Limited, formerly Baxter Healthcare. Adjudication Officer Emile Daly found the complaint not well founded in a decision dated 28 April 2025. Reilly said the company failed to investigate her complaints about a colleague’s conduct, discipline him or protect her at work. Vantive said the alleged failures were not meant to punish her for raising a protected complaint. Daly accepted that Reilly had made protected acts but found she had not shown that the alleged omissions would not have occurred but for those complaints. No award was made.
