The Workplace Relations Commission directed San Siro Limited, trading as Browne’s Steakhouse, to pay Vjola Ajredini €6,154 compensation for failing to give notice, €1,542 for Sunday work and €692 for public holiday entitlements. Adjudication Officer Catherine Byrne dated the decision 27 March 2025. The officer found Ajredini’s job redundant after the restaurant ceased trading and found entitlement to statutory redundancy pay, subject to her PRSI contribution status and the statutory ceiling, plus eight weeks’ notice. She found a Sunday allowance was due for 27 Sundays worked and compensation was due for four public holidays in 2023.
