The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) directed Secure Management Solutions Limited to pay Dermot Kelly €682 for failing to pay him during his statutory notice period or in lieu of notice. The WRC decision was dated 12 November 2024. The WRC also upheld Kelly’s complaint that his written contract did not reflect his full-time work and employment status, and ordered €2,133 compensation. The company accepted the contract was incorrect. It said the client contract had ended, it offered Kelly alternative assignments and his employment ended after he did not respond to later contact. The WRC found those roles unreasonable and unrealistic for him to accept.
