WRC rejects Bobson Benjamin Kargbo’s wage complaint after pay was received

The WRC found against Bobson Benjamin Kargbo in his wage complaint against Larent Rouge Gorge Ltd, recording no award. The decision, dated 27 August 2024, said no wages were properly payable during the relevant period because Kargbo confirmed he had received all outstanding pay. Kargbo said he had not been paid on time while working as a chef. He also said he lost access to social welfare benefits after the respondent did not complete a form about the hours available. The adjudicator found that lost benefits were not wages payable by the respondent.
