The Workplace Relations Commission directed Kennedy Security & Consultancy Ltd. to pay David Scanlon €362.96 after finding two weekly hours had been paid at his basic rate rather than the overtime rate. Adjudication officer Elizabeth Spelman’s decision was dated 8 April 2025. Scanlon had alleged unlawful wage deductions and failures to provide written employment terms. The company denied the allegations and said it had corrected an overtime overpayment without seeking to recover it. The WRC found the separate pay correction was not an unlawful deduction and rejected both complaints about written terms.
