Britvic Ireland wins €5,000 cooperation payment case

The Workplace Relations Commission found against Ray Skerritt in his claim that Britvic Ireland unlawfully withheld a €5,000 cooperation payment. Adjudication Officer Brian Dalton dated the decision 5 July 2024. Skerritt said he had met the terms for the payment after cooperating with a new shift pattern. Britvic Ireland said it was withheld because of poor attendance, including four missed shifts in July 2023. The officer found that the payment was conditional and that the parties did not intend it to be paid where attendance was poor. The decision records that Skerritt had missed 20 days. His Payment of Wages complaint was found not well founded.
