The Workplace Relations Commission found Robert Lee’s two complaints against Sunday's Well Life Centre t/a Cork Life Centre not well founded in a decision dated 2 August 2024. Lee said he had worked as a teacher since 2015 and signed a contract in August 2023 without time to read it. The centre argued that Cork ETB was his employer because it paid his wages and sick pay. The adjudicator found that Lee was not an employee of the centre under the Terms of Employment Act. The separate industrial relations complaint also failed because, as a secondary teacher, he did not meet the Act’s definition of a worker.
