The Workplace Relations Commission directed Premier Signs Limited to pay Patrick Houlihan €5,696.32 net compensation for unpaid wages, notice pay and holiday pay. The decision was dated 3 April 2024.
Houlihan worked as a sales manager until the business ceased trading in November 2023. He said his final week’s wages, four weeks’ notice pay and holiday pay remained unpaid. The WRC also found him entitled to statutory redundancy, subject to insurable employment, with the calculation left to the relevant department and weekly pay capped at €600. The company did not attend the hearing.
