Malgorzata Sutor was awarded €1,618 after the Workplace Relations Commission upheld her complaint that Apleona Limited Apleona had not provided written terms of employment within the required period. The decision was dated 9 May 2024. Sutor worked as a cleaner for the company from March 2020 to November 2023. She said she had asked human resources for a written contract and later submitted a request through the company’s online system, but received no response. She also recalled signing documents in English without knowing what they said. The respondent did not attend the hearing. The adjudication officer upheld the complaint on Sutor’s uncontested evidence and ordered the company to pay €1,618 compensation for breaching the law on written employment terms.
