The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Tony Fitzpatrick’s disability discrimination and reasonable accommodation complaint against Depuy Synthes (Johnson & Johnson) as out of time. The decision, dated 8 July 2026, was made by Adjudication Officer Patsy Doyle. Fitzpatrick alleged that his visual impairment workplace assessment, work location and performance ratings involved discrimination or a failure to provide reasonable accommodation. Depuy Synthes accepted he had a disability and said he was allowed to remain at a workstation with natural light. The WRC did not decide the substance of the allegations and recorded no award.
