The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) upheld Holly Levey’s complaints and directed Imaginosity Limited to pay her €1,516.66 for minimum notice, €1,061.66 for annual leave and €75.83 for a public holiday. Its decision was dated 8 March 2024. Levey, a front of house manager, said she had been temporarily laid off during the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020 and the business did not reopen after restrictions were lifted. She sought redundancy, four weeks’ notice, 14 days of annual leave and public holiday pay. The respondent did not attend the hearing, and the adjudication officer considered Levey’s submissions. The WRC also directed statutory redundancy pay based on employment from 23 October 2013 and monthly gross wages of €1,516.66. The decision does not state a lump-sum amount for that payment.
