The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Michael Murphy’s disability discrimination complaint against the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in a decision dated 4 November 2025. Murphy alleged less favourable treatment in work allocation, promotion opportunities and transfer requests, and a failure to provide reasonable accommodation. The ODPP denied discrimination. The adjudication officer found no connection between the alleged treatment and Murphy’s disability, and said the accommodation obligation was not triggered because he had not explained the extent of his disability or requested a transfer for health reasons. No award was made.
