WRC rejects ODPP employee's victimisation complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Michael Murphy's victimisation complaint against the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) was not well founded. The decision was dated 4 November 2025.

Murphy alleged that after he made a separate WRC disability discrimination complaint, his manager raised performance concerns and appointed a principal prosecutor to oversee his cases. The ODPP said performance issues had been raised before that complaint and the oversight addressed file concerns. The adjudicator found that the August 2023 meeting and oversight were not adverse treatment and found no credible evidence Murphy was disadvantaged. The decision concerns the victimisation complaint only.
