The Workplace Relations Commission has rejected Zlatko Lazar’s complaints that his employer failed to provide him with a copy of his employment terms and unfairly dismissed him. Adjudication officer Brian Dolan issued the decision, dated 3 May 2024. Lazar resigned after a client asked that he be removed from a hospital site. He said Securway At Risk Security Group Limited had failed to investigate the client’s complaint or support him, and alleged the removal was retaliation for raising pay and employment-rights issues. The company said the client would not provide further details, it offered him alternative work under his contract, and he chose to resign. Dolan found the employer made reasonable efforts to arrange alternative work and that Lazar had not shown he was unfairly dismissed. He also found the company met its obligations on employment terms.
