WRC awards former Avia Capital Leasing manager €2,750 in notice pay

The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Avia Capital Leasing Limited to pay Sofija Krascuka €2,750 in lieu of four weeks’ notice and a further €810 for unpaid annual leave. The decision was dated 15 April 2024. Krascuka, a former Junior Finance Manager, said she had not received notice pay when her employment ended. The company accepted that matters happened over a short period, and the adjudicator found she had received neither notice nor payment in lieu. Her service entitled her to four weeks’ pay. She also complained that she had not received her holiday entitlement or payment for it. The company’s records showed five days were due, and the adjudicator found she had received neither the entitlement nor payment in lieu. Both complaints were upheld. The €2,750 notice payment and €810 annual-leave award are separate amounts.
