WRC finds two fixed-term complaints against Cork University Hospital not well founded after complainant’s side misses hearing

The Workplace Relations Commission found two fixed-term work complaints by Fionnuala Mc Sweeney against Cork University Hospital not well founded in a decision dated 21 August 2023. They concerned access to a permanent contract and an occupational pension scheme. No one from Mc Sweeney’s side attended the 20 July hearing. The hospital was represented. The adjudicator said both parties had separately reported a settlement, but she did not know its terms and had received no notice of withdrawal. No evidence was led, and the merits were not decided.
