The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Trispace to pay Patricia Kenny €896 for failing to provide written employment terms. In a decision dated 18 August 2023, it found three other complaints not well founded. Kenny said she had expected to work 20 hours a week but her hours were reduced, including because she was part-time and needed medical consultations. Trispace said it had not treated her less favourably and had not been told she had a disability or that she believed she was being discriminated against. Trispace accepted that it breached the law on written terms. The WRC calculated compensation as four weeks’ pay based on 20 hours a week at €11.20 an hour. It found the Sunday-premium complaint not well founded after Kenny agreed she had received an additional payment. The part-time complaint failed because she could not identify a full-time employee treated more favourably. The discrimination complaint also failed because she did not establish less favourable treatment linked to a protected ground.
