The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Roadbridge Ltd (In receivership) to pay carpenter Mark Gallagher €1,886.72 in compensation after finding three complaints well-founded. The decision was dated 18 October 2022. Gallagher said he had not been paid for work completed between 7 and 11 February 2022, after his employment contract was revoked three days after it was issued. The WRC ordered Roadbridge to pay €943.36 for the unpaid wages and approximately €25 for the difference between the old and new pay rates. It also awarded €1,886.72, representing two weeks’ wages for the period of unemployment, under the Industrial Relations Acts.
