The Workplace Relations Commission partly upheld Pawel Lachiewicz’s complaint about Cork Automania Ltd deducting €3,825.71 from his final wages and ordered the company to pay him €1,000 net compensation. The decision was dated 31 August 2023. The adjudicator found the deduction was not fair or reasonable, including because the company had not allowed time for payment before making it. The decision also says Lachiewicz had four allegations upheld and three not upheld in the investigation. In setting compensation, the adjudicator considered State support paid during his suspension, which exceeded €11,000.
