The Workplace Relations Commission ordered XS Direct Insurance Brokers Ltd to pay Jennifer Healy €6,758.94 in unpaid wages and bonus after finding her two Payment of Wages complaints well founded. The decision was dated 18 January 2022. Healy, a claims handler, said the company cut her wages and monthly bonus by 15% without her consent. The company said she had consented to deductions through 17 August 2020 and that financial difficulties led it to make pay cuts rather than redundancies. The WRC found there was no contractual agreement or prior written consent for the deductions.
