The Workplace Relations Commission found three complaints by Conor Mcguirk against Pulse Security Management Limited Pulse Security were not well founded. The decision, dated 18 January 2022, rejected claims of unfair dismissal, inadequate redundancy consultation and unpaid wages. Mcguirk said he was unfairly selected for redundancy under a last-in, first-out process, was not properly consulted and was owed overtime and holiday pay. The WRC accepted the dismissal was by reason of redundancy and found the employer’s process was not unreasonable. It also found the consultation complaint did not concern a collective redundancy situation and that the claimed overtime was not established as properly payable.
