WRC dismisses 31 employment complaints by Colm Moore on time-limit grounds

The Workplace Relations Commission ruled that 30 of Colm Moore’s 31 complaints against Sword Security Limited Sword Security were lodged outside the statutory time limits and could not be considered. In a decision dated 30 January 2025, it also found his redundancy complaint was not well-founded because he had resigned and there was no redundancy. Moore argued his resignation took effect after later exchanges with the company. The WRC treated 20 January 2020 as his resignation date and found the claims, referred on 20 July 2020, fell outside the six-month period. The company had argued the complaints were out of time because he resigned by email on 20 January.
