The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) found Joanna Gurtman’s dismissal by Sport Ireland fair and said she contributed substantially to it. Adjudication Officer Davnet O'Driscoll dated the decision 30 January 2025. Gurtman challenged her dismissal as unfair. Sport Ireland said it followed an investigation and disciplinary process over alleged failures to attend meetings, carry out duties and follow workplace procedures. The adjudicator found she repeatedly missed meetings, did not provide a written grievance when requested and did not engage with workplace processes. The WRC found the process fair and the dismissal resulted mainly from her conduct.
